General Purpose Rating Course To Become A Seaman

The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the directorate, in the 6 Months training at Academy, approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The candidate is familiarized with various aspects in workshop comprising of Carpentry, Plumbing, Machine Ship, Electrical Shop and Hot Work. He is also required to complete mandatory STCW courses.

On successful completion of the 6 months Pre-Sea Training, he undergoes the sea phase training of 12 months.

B.Tech Marine Engineering

This 4 year degree course duly approved by Director general of Shipping, Govt. of India or approved by AICTE. The Academy impart comprehensive training in Marine Engineering and shipboard practice. It comprises of academics and ship familiarization along with marine Workshop training (as per IMO modules) done at Academy. After completion of the Course at the Academy the candidate undergoes the four basis STCW courses. The candidate is exempted from class IV part A COC & obtains it on the basis of passing off the academic training/Degree

After this he goes for his Class IV Part B’ written & oral examination.

BSC Nautical Science

The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the Directorate General of Shipping. This training provides a School (X+II)/(‘A’ Level) leaver sure path to become a qualified Deck Officer. During the 36 Months training at Academy, approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India the candidate is familiarized with various aspects in workshop comprising of Carpentry, Plumbing, Machine Shop, Electrical Shop and Hot Work. He is also required to complete mandatory STCW course. 

BSC Nautical Science

The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the Directorate General of Shipping. This training provides a School (X+II)/(‘A’ Level) leaver sure path to become a qualified Deck Officer. During the 36 Months training at Academy, approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India the candidate is familiarized with various aspects in workshop comprising of Carpentry, Plumbing, Machine Shop, Electrical Shop and Hot Work. He is also required to complete mandatory STCW course. 

Graduate Marine Engineering

A pre-sea training program for Graduate Mechanical Engineers approved y the Director General of Shipping Government of India. This program trains

These 12 months Pre-Sea courses at the Academy imparts comprehensive training in Marine Engineering and Shipboard Practice. It Comprises of academics and ship familiarization along with Marine Workshop training (as per IMO modules) does at academy.

After completion of the courses at the Academy the candidate undergoes the four basic STCW course. The candidate is exempted from Class IV Part A COC & obtains it on the basis of Academy passing out certificate.

Electro Technical Officer

This unique sector-specific program which is the first of its kind in India focuses on the needs of appropriate education and training in the areas of Electrical and Electronics. The program of study has been carefully designed by experts and professionals in shipping practices. Yet another unique feature of this program is that the curriculum will be largely handled by industry faculty who are experienced professionals in this field. This program is designed to equip the students with adequate skill and knowledge in Electrical and Electronics in the ships.

Diploma In Nautical Science

The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the Directorate. This training provides a School (X+II)/(‘A’ Level) leaver sure path to become a qualified Deck Officer. During the 12 Months training at Academy, approved by Director General of Shipping, Government of India the candidate is familiarized with various aspects in workshop comprising of Carpentry, Plumbing, Machine Shop, Electrical Shop and Hot Work. He is also required to complete mandatory STCW course. On successful completion of the semester 1 & 2, A diploma in Nautical Science is awarded by Indian Maritime University (IMU), and then he undertakes the sea phase for 18 months comprising semester 3,4, & 5 of on board ship residential training along with correspondence course with Indian Maritime University (IMU). 

Certificate Course In Maritime Catering

The above program is approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The design of the course is as per the guidelines laid down by the directorate, in the 6 Months training at Academy, approved by Director General of Shipping, Govt. of India. The candidate is familiarized with various aspects in Maritime Food & Beverage Services. He is also required to complete mandatory STCW courses.

On successful completion of the 6 months Pre-Sea Training, he undergoes the sea phase training of 12 months.

Seafarers Development Programmer (SDP)

The PRE SEA TRAINING Course was introduced on request from the Shipping Industry, in order to ensure enhanced & multiple utility of ratings, on board vessels belonging to shipping companies, worldwide. Accordingly, the erstwhile Deck Rating and Engine Rating courses were adapted to the new guidelines and concept of “SDP” was introduced by the Directorate.
